Rachael studied History at Bristol University and then Theology at Trinity Theological College, Bristol. She has worked in the Rochester Diocese since her ordination in 1991, in parish ministry and then, for the last thirteen years, as full- time chaplain at Bennett Memorial Church of England Diocesan School, a co-educational academy with 1,700 students. She had the privilege to be among the first women to be ordained priest in 1994. Whilst in parish ministry she also worked part-time in chaplaincy with juvenile offenders, and is a qualified counsellor: experiences that have provided useful transferable skills for school chaplaincy!
