I am a full-time chaplain at The Academy of St. Francis of Assisi in Liverpool. The Academy is Joint denomination Catholic and Church of England School. Before becoming a Chaplain, I worked in various school pastoral roles and earlier still in post 16 training with a focus on employability in the horticultural sector. As a Chaplain’s I lean into my experience and natural abilities in order to engage practically with students and so, my go-to areas are Music and Horticulture. I’m by no means an expert in either but with the parable of the talents in mind I make the most of what I can offer.
I have enjoyed working with students in both areas over the six years I have been a Chaplain and each project offers its own rewards in terms of pupil engagement and mentoring.
