Taketime Meditations – Discover in 5 minutes a compassionate space with Taketime meditations at www.taketime.org.uk

Taketime is new, easy to run, meditation-based mission and discipleship resource for Churches, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Youthwork, Mental Health support, Evangelism and Prisons.

Christian mindfulness combines with Ignatian spirituality so that these meditations reach not just across, but also beyond the Church.

It all began in a women’s prison when Rev Clive McKie was trying to find a way to help an inmate to learn to pray in 2006 and has developed into a cross-denominational, global mission project which seeks to facilitate encounters with Jesus.

Over 200 gospel-based meditations are available online and on apps, in audio and video formats.

There are over 300 trained Taketime Practitioners around the country, equipped to use Taketime meditations in groups, in worship and in pastoral work. The online training course makes it easy to learn how to use this great resource and there is now online training specifically for Primary School teachers.
